When I look around myself, I strive to take in the small details that many take for granted.
I think of myself as being on a constant visual exploration of the world around me, in an effort to better understand and appreciate it.
I find that the way I approach my artwork is also that of a constant exploration. In both theme and method, I go where the work takes me in the process of creation. I enjoy the surprise of an unplanned composition that results because of the spontaneous application of materials or the meditative constructions of my own investigations in geometry.
I would like to think that those viewing my work are inspired to follow their own path through it, and enjoy or reflect beyond the image to a meaning that is valuable in their own life.
